38 Weeks
We had our weekly appointment today! All was well! Baby Gator is measuring about 7 pounds and the heartbeat was about 141. I am almost 2 cm. dilated and if all goes well at next weeks appointment and I have dilated to about 2.5-3 cm, they plan to induce me on the July 16th. We really want 1 of 3 Doctors and two of them are on call that week.

Baby Showers
We have had some wonderful baby showers and Baby Gator has all that he/she will need! We want to thank Aunt Sarah for hosting a great shower at Bella Luna. We were spoiled with Bon Bonnerie Opera Cream Cake...Yummy and lots of gifts for the baby! The Butler Soccer girls threw a shower in Indy for us. It was a great visit with the girls and a Chance to see all their kids growing! We are wondering if I will carry on the Butler Tradition and have a baby boy first! Thanks Girls. And then we had a great shower here in Cincy given by Michelle Dohrmann, Amy LaBarbara and Betsy Roeder. I managed to stock up on diapers thanks to the cute Diaper Cakes! We have all the necessary items...bottles, diapers, pacifiers, blankets, diaper cream...Thanks for all the great gifts from everyone!
3 Weeks to Go

We went to the Dr. on Monday and I was 1 cm dilated. That was exciting to hear, but we do realize this could be the same for weeks. Our Dr. Told us that she would let me go two weeks late if the baby didn't arrive on the due date. PLEASE NO!!!!!!!!!!! Keep your fingers crossed that Baby Gator cooperates and comes a few days early.
We have everything in place, the car seat is installed. Clothes are washed and bags are packed for the hospital! We are ready and anxious to meet Baby Gator!

We have about 4 more weeks to go! I went to the Dr. on Friday and she estimated that Baby Gator already weighs about 6 pounds 5 oz. And if he/she gains a pound a week...I think we may have a pretty big baby at delivery!
We both are very excited to find out if Baby Gator is a boy or a girl. I'm excited because I will have two surprises at birth. First, I will get to find out the sex of the baby and second, Gator gets to name the baby. We agreed on 4 names for each and he has his favorites.

24 Weeks

We had our 24 week appointment today. A very quick appointment. We heard the very fast heartbeat of Baby Gator. And based on measurements and the how many weeks I am, Dr. Clark determined the baby weighed about 2 pounds or should by the end of next week. I started to think, and Baby Gator almost weighs more than I did at birth. In the next two weeks, I will be taking the Glucose Test. Our next appointment isn't until May 1. At that point, I will be almost 30 weeks and will only have about 10 weeks to go! We have also enjoyed the baby moving quite a bit! He/She is very active at night and in the morning.
